Ken Burns and fellow filmmaker Dayton Duncan make an impassioned plea for us not to forget about our national parks.  Burns, who last year released his  film about said parks, now writes in the L.A. Times that although the economy is tough and the country is in decline, we must not lose sight of our natural, national treasures.

The parks, started one hundred years by President Roosevelt, represents his epiphany of what we have in America and how it can be lost.

Although we may have thought that nature doesn’t need our help, it does.  Read their thoughts here:  http://articles.latimes.com/2010/oct/15/opinion/la-oe-1015-burns-natlparks-20101015
